| OOC: Great Con Time: 11:58 Pacific, February 28th Words: 1254 "Hehehe, this is gonna be like taking candy from a baby" chuckled the small white figure, watching the scenery pass uneventfully below her self, laying down tightly against the top of the train. In a matter of moments, the train would be passing the road at the appointed time, and the armored car would be there just as her contact had told her, and then they would be hers. The plan was quite simple really. Chug chug chug roared the sound of the engine forcing it's way up the last hill, though something sounded a little strained coming from it. "You dirty bastard," she laughed admiringly at the ingenuity of the big guy who ran the show around here on earth. Just as promised, the train was having to fight it's way up this hill, losing precious seconds that would place it in the path of the Gold Shipment, who's route was meticulously planned and timed to avoid any stops beyond a momentary pause at a few stopsigns. Breathing deeply of the fresh mountain air, the changeling girl found herself wondering why she had never done any of this back home. "How could I have let myself bow down to that bitch?" she muttered, still feeling the emotional wounds of the battle she and her mother had engaged in before her departure. With the sound of the engine smoothing out, the girl knew it would be only moments until her gravy train rode into town, and she was rolling in gold. Carefully she pulled her feet up underneath herself, keeping her supple body hidden from below by the train's walls as the appointed spot drew near. ~Relax chica, you can do this, just like you practiced...~ She assured herself, taking slow, calming breaths as she watched for the crossing, and the lights that would show her mark was where it had been planned. Just as she had been told, it was all right there in plain sight, the car just now pulling up into position, ripe for the plucking. ~One...~ She began mentally, forcefully keeping her body relaxed against the tension that fought to build up in her muscles. ~Two....~ It was coming, her moment would be here in a heartbeat. "THREE!" With that she leaped for the truck as it was only beginning to come to a stop. Gracefully flipping mid-air, she braced her tail for impact, coiling it against itself like a spring as her fingertips dug into the roof of the car, securing her there during the brief instant of time during a stop-back when the equipment built into the vehicle would not detect a foreign weight landing atop it. ~I did it... I really did it!~ She exclaimed with a rush as she locked her fingers in the bent steel, waiting patiently until the train was passed and the car was once again in motion for her to make her next move. The weight was not long, the route had intended to come after the train, but some form of subtle sabotage had slowed it down just enough for Snow's acrobatic infiltration, and soon the car was once again on it's way, with none the wiser. ~Alright, I'm on board, now it's time to handle part two...~ she thought to herself, reaching up with her tail to grasp the emp device off her belt, waiting until the truck had buried itself a little deeper into the mountainous terrain before gently laying it against the steel door and pulling the trigger. With the sensor's disabled, she was free to pull herself up onto the roof and reverse her position, dangling down as she overpowered the steel door, slowly forcing it up a few inches at a time until at last the door was open, allowing her to flip her small form back inside as the truck drove steadily on downwards, the driver and his companion none-the wiser of what was going on right under their noses. Reaching down into her belt she grabbed a huge bag, designed to fill and weight itself just like a hiker's pack, and set about immediately filling it with the gold, stacking it carefully into proper position. In a matter of minutes she'd filled the bag, 8 gold bars wide, and 20 bars deep. With her haul properly stowed, she locked on the bracing bars and hefted the pack slowly onto her shoulders, a bit of a struggle even for one of her strength, and leaped out of the vehicle, making a run through the icy forest, bounding from tree to tree, never leaving a reliable track. It wouldn't matter anyway, soon the morning sun would melt any tracks she did leave away and by then she would be long, long gone. Finally, she reached the rendezvous point, finding the truck exactly where it was supposed to be. Grateful to be free of the burden, she laid it on the bed of the "Super Heavy Hauler" type 4x4 pickup, watching the bed sink to within a few inches of the tires with the weight of all that gold. Stepping up into the cap, she opened the door, climbing into the truck. "It's there, all of it, lets go." "Oh, I don't think so toots." Came a gruff voice she knew all too well. "Tony I should have known it would be you, what hair-brained scheme have you come up with this time?" She inquired, glancing upwards to notice the 12 guage shotgun he had leveled at her. "See, I've got in mind to retire, and this gold here's gonna set me up real nice see. So yer gonna be a good little bitch and step aside and let me go with it. I know yer gonna rat me out, but Big Mikey woulda figured me out anyway. Don't make me hurt you Snow, fer a damned alien I actually kinda like you see." "Tony... your an idiot. Why do you think I was sent to get that gold? Guns aren't dangerous to me you dumbass." A look of understanding flashed through the young man's eyes. "Then... then come with me. Even splitting it we'll make tripple what we would have handing it over to the bossman." After a moment's deliberate consideration, the changeling nodded. "Sounds good, just don't go getting yourself killed, I can't save your dumb ass all the time." As Tony put the gun away, Snow climbed slowly, un-threateningly into the truck, taking a seat beside the defactor, a dumb kid looking to get himself into trouble playing with the big boys really, though he had to be over twenty human years old. "Thanks Snow. You did real good tonight." He told her, shaking with the shock of everything. "Don't thank me yet hon." She replied, before striking him with an open palm against his jaw, knocking him unconscious as she took over the wheel with her left hand, the pedals with her tail. "Your going to owe me big time for keeping those thugs off your ass retard, you wouldn't have lasted a month with them hunting you." With the last of the obstacles out of the way, Snow's ride back to HQ was uneventful, sliding peacefully into the garage as designated. "Woah, what happened to Tony Eh!?" Exclaimed the garage crewman who received them. "His hands wandered where they shouldn't, so I had to put him down for a nap. Where's Big Mikey so I can complete the delivery?" She inquired, not fully understanding what it was about these people that kept her coming back. OOC: GRRRR I had posting difficulties and most of this ended up not going through so I had to retype it (and lost about 50 words in the process somehow lmao, though that really doesn't bother me.) Anyways, yeah, it's all up now ^^ Added (03.02.2010, 1:57 PM) --------------------------------------------- Learning about the Dragonballs: (this on is after the update I submitted yesterday.) "Big boss man's up in his appartment's as usual, chilling with some women most likely." The changeling woman arched an eyebrow at the worker, knowing full well her orders had been to come deliver the gold in person immediately. A cargo like that was far too valuable to leave in the hands of any less loyal employees, and in a business like this those were a dime a dozen. The fact of the matter is, Snow was just as likely to betray under most circumstances, but Mike was a special case. When she'd first arrived on earth, no one had accepted her. Most were fearful of the 'freaky alien thing with boobs,' while others had mocked her for her appearance and nature, eliciting a few well deserved comas but, luckily for her, no deaths, not that she had cared at the time, but it would not have been pleasant to have dealt with the police. At the time, they very well could have been a threat to her, and regardless the attention would have been undesirable. Before long, she'd found the internet, speaking out to people about her oppression and finding groups of like-minded 'teenagers', people who felt cast out of society and who empathized with her, who accepted her for who she was and as one of them. In time, she began to find herself being drawn more and more into the lifestyle, wearing human clothes, going to various human areas and blending in. Certainly she still drew stares, but over time she learned to integrate herself human groups to the point that she was hardly ever accosted after that. But even so, the lonliness remained. It was in those days that she found herself turning to the streets, running with groups of toughs, hardening herself in fights with the various gangs that roamed the cities. Eventually, she found her way into a battle with a group of thugs from 'The Syndicate' an expansive underground 'family' of organized crime, headed by none other than Big Mikey himself. After a fierce battle with fighters better trained than those she was accustomed to, she found herself looking face to face with the big man himself, only just then arriving on the scene. "What seems to be the matter girl?" He'd inquired, noting the way she'd laid out that entire crew. "Girl? Did you just call me girl?" inquired the changeling, shocked that someone had treated her so normally in person, as though she were one of them. As it turned out, Mike had, in his earlier days, been a bit of a goody two shoes, travelling around, training to be a hero, and in that time he had met the Guardian, Kami, an alien himself, called a Namek. During that time he'd gained a fair understanding that aliens were people too, and welcomed her into The Family as a daughter, opening his heart to her in a way that made her feel welcome and at peace, a father figure she'd never had. She was no fool, she knew exactly how he used her, but she was at peace with it. She got the money she needed and the comeraderie that made her life content, and he got his jewels and gold and other shit........ "You wanted to see me boss?" She inquired as she opened the door, always deferential to him in the possible presense of others. It would do nobody any good for him to seem to dote on any of his crew, but an alien in particular. "Ah, Snow, I've been waiting for you. Come in, come in." As the changeling warrior enterred, sack of gold slung across her back, she found the middle-aged mountain of a man in the hottub, with a young, beautiful human woman on each arm. "Leave us ladies, I have some business to speak of with my daughter." He used the term the same as he would with any other crewmen, as the women climbed out of the tub, slipping on bathrobes and departing, flashing smiles Snow's way as though they knew exactly what she was about to do. As though she were a flopsy such as they and the man's play thing. "I brought the gold, the plan worked out perfectly Papa." She assured him, tipping the bag in the corner as the gold fell out, a distinctive clinking identifying the metal as it escaped it's confinement. "Excellent work Snow. I knew you could do it. Tony didn't give you any trouble did he?" The man had a look in his eyes, somehow he seemed to know far more than he had a right to. "Only a little, you know how perverted he can be. I gave him a nice little nightcap on the jaw and drove us back here myself." "I see..." Spoke Mike, though the tone of his voice showed he saw right through her. Not as though he minded, in this business, loyalty was everything. Loyalty to one's family was something to be prized. Tony would be punished, but Snow needn't be concerned with that. No, he had much bigger plans for her. "Snow dear, would you please help an old man into his robe?" he inquired, rising from the tub. On her home planet, clothes weren't a part of life, so the changeling had had a much easier time adapting to Mike's lack of modesty than most of his underlings, and immediately grabbed his bathrobe from it's place on the rack, holding it out as he slide his arms into it and tied it closed. "Tony's not a big concern at present Snow, his lack of respect will be dealt with when the time is right, for now, please come with me, I have a few gifts for you, in exchange for your excellent service." With that, the man made his way from the tub to a large couch, pushing it out of the way with an ease that even other men of his size would envy, revealing a hidden panel that opened to the door of a small vault. After a brief moment fiddling with the combination, he opened it, reaching inside to extract a set of training clothes. "These... are for me?" She inquired, surprised. She'd heard of weighted training clothes, but never seen a set in her comperately short time alive and much shorter time on earth. "You bet they are, do you remember when I told you about my time with Kami?" He inquired, handing the training gi to her, surprising her with the weight their small bulk held. "How could I ever forget Papa, that was one of the reasons you were willing to welcome me into the family." The man nodded, gesturing towards the clothing. "When I trained with him, he made those for me, with magic." Now it was the girl's time to be shocked, "Magic? You've gotta be kidding me, magic is real???" A confident smile crossed his lips. "You heard me right snow, magic. He told me to open my arms just like you did to receive these and pointed his green finger at me and a yellow beam shot out of it, forming these clothes right there infront of my own eyes he did. As I pulled them on I could feel them stretching to accomodate my size, and whenever I took them off they reverted to a more normal size. Go on, try them on." With a curt nod, the girl slowly pulled the clothing on. Normally she'd be wearing human clothes, but given the nature of her last mission she'd gone in the buff, as everybody did back home, except those who needed to be out in the worst of the weather for the longest periods of time, those who trapped the great beasts that roamed the wild lands. As they came down over her full figure, they shrunk, closing in to fit snuggly against her form, a hole forming automatically in the pants for her tail to function freely, the weight straining her muscles without impeeding her range of motion at all. "These are incredible Papa, thank you so much!" She leaped into the air, throwing herself into a few quick flips and spins, testing the weight against the limit of her fighting abilities. In a strange fit of affection for her she reached out and hugged the older man, her dark mind already giggling in glee at just how much stronger she'd be, and how much more control she'd exert over the other fools serving Mike , throwing herself into a few quick flips and spins, testing the weight against her abilities. "That isn't all I have to tell you Snow, you'd best brace yourself for this." He told her, hugging her back until she released him, looking up to see what else he had for her. "You see, when I finished my training with Kami, he told me, that should I ever have great need of something dire, I should seek out seven magic orbs he had created, called the dragon balls. These spheres, when gathered, would summon a dragon that would grant any wish within it's power, almost like a genie out of the legends we have here on earth. For years I've researched them, trying to find out if what he said could be true, if these spheres could have such vast power. In that time, I came into posession of this..." Pulling his hand out of his robe pocket, he displayed a small device, with a green grid on it. "This, is a dragon radar, it tracks dragonballs with little blips on the screen, and will guide you to them." Taking the device into her hand with care, the girl looked, and saw that there was indeed a blip pointing the way to one object, no doubt the nearest of the balls. "Why me papa? Shouldn't you make the wish? OHHH I know Papa, I'll bring the dragonballs here for you to wish on." She told him. You didn't advance in the mafia business if you didn't know how to show deference to your superiors. By giving him the wish, she was securing her position and earning further favors. "No Snow, that won't be necessary. You see, even if these balls exist I have no knowledge of them. Of how they work, of what sort of danger they may posess. I was a fighter for a long time, but I've become lazy, more a politician than a soldier, and such a task is not one for me to undertake. You Snow, have both the skill, and the right to do this. This is the real reward of which I spoke. For your reward I have another mission for you. I wish for you to gather the dragonballs, make any wish you desire, and report back to me with your findings." Snow was shocked, to the point she didn't know what to say, but she didn't have to. After a small pause to allow that to sink in, the man added a final piece to the reward. "And once you have made that report, you have a six month vacation. Travel around, learn what you can. A warrior can only grow so much doing small time crime and sparring with thugs, you have so much potential daughter, I expect to see you come back a new woman, grown beyond the strong girl I see before me." There was a slight twinge of rebellion in Snow at being called a child, before the joy at what she'd been told overwelmed her. She was to wish whatever was on her heart, and then to travel and see the world! In yet another fit of affection, she launched herself at the large man, knocking her back a bit with her strength as he caught her in his arms, holding her like a man would his little girl, recieving a kiss on the cheek. "I'll come back stronger than anybody else papa, you'll see. Nobody will be able to stop us, we'll take over the world!" When set down and released, she started towards the door, before turning and waving. "I know you won't let me down girl, now get going and get yourself a good night's sleep, you've got a busy day tomorrow." OOC: 2,048 words, learned about the dragon balls and IC recieved and tested out the weighted clothes I bought in my last update. (and got the dragon radar as well) Added (03.03.2010, 9:35 Am) --------------------------------------------- 6 star dragonball (March 02) At long last having had the pleasure of a kill, of having felt the life slipping out of a helpless victim, the dawn found Snow happier than usual, a genuine, cheerful smile on her face for the first time in months. With the radar out, the changeling woman jogged at a swift pace, fast enough to match the best of human sprinters, gradually eating the distance with her long legs and graceful strides. As she'd suspected, the radar was taking her out of the city, and into the surrounding countryside. Never one to care for roads, Snow took the straight line, bounding accross farms and fields of crops, over various buildings, deeper and deeper into the heart of the wilderness, into the lands where strange creatures lived, and none travelled by foot. It wasn't long before she found herself working her way uphill through a dense forest, forced to leap from branch to branch to avoid the tight and hindering density of the lower trunks. "Getting closer..." she told herself with a grin as she checked the radar, finding the blip had grown and accelerated, indicating she was drawing near the first of the seven balls. "I wonder what they look like..." bounding across the branches instinctively with expertise an Olympic gymnast would envy, the lithe warrior could feel the strain of the clothing, pushing her muscles in new ways as her mind wanderred, contemplating what sort of form the balls would take. "Maybe.. maybe they're spherical gems, I always heard crystals were supposed to have magickal power..." she ponderred, deep enough in thought that she neglected to notice as the forest took on a darker tone, the trees growing more threatening, the canopy blocking out a good portion of the sun, leaving the trees in a palor of eternal twilight, shadows lengthening menacingly as she was swallowed ever deeper into the looming maw. A glance down to the radar in her palm showed that she'd enterred the area of the ball, a specific blip showing it's position relative to hers as she approached. Grinning expectantly, the girl picked up the pace, bounding from branch to branch towards the location of the artifact. Faster and faster she went, until, suddenly, the branches were gone, and she found herself falling into the darkness. "Oh shit....." was all the had a chance to say before she slammed into the slime, tail and back first. "YYYYYUUUUUUCKKKKK!" She screeched in disgust as she found herself laying atop a pool of the most sticky, gooey, viscous gunk she could possibly imagine. Reacting instinctively, she spun herself upright inside the goo, struggling violently, fiercly trying with all the might in her posession to force her way out of the goup and free herself of it's grasp. But the more she fought, the more she struggled against the substance, the deeper and faster it drew her in, till she was burried up to her bust. Freezing still, she tried gently pulling her way up, the way she was taught to pull herself out of a deep snow-drift on icer, making slow, gently movements with carefully applied force, intent on lifting first one arm, and then the other out of the muck, and using them to slowly bring herself onto the top of the ooze. But it was no use, the stuff, whatever the hell it was, had a firm grip on her, far too strong for her to be able to remove her arms. In a final, last ditch effort, the changeling woman slowly drew her legs and tail up to her chest, coiling the tail around her legs to expand their surface area before suddenly thrusting them down with everything she had. And, of course as luck would have it, that very action drew her down into the muck, beneath the goup and into water below. Resigned to her fate, Snow looked to the dragonball radar in her palm, only to find that she was almost ontop of it. Swimming down, deeper and deeper, her changeling body perfectly content in the pressure as she reached the bottom, finding a strange, metalic sphere in the mud on the bottom, the weight and feel of it not unlike that of the gold she had stolen the night before. Now there was only one problem... getting out of there with her treasure alive....

| I have deleted the middle of your post due to its sexual nature. Although I do see that you tried to do it as respectfully as possible, it's still a very easily pictured scene and will not be allowed on the site. Sorry if there was any confusion of this. You will still get the benefits, however of the 1,999 words.

| OOC: no problem Kenny, thanks for handling the situation and letting me keep the gains, I'll be more careful in the future. Learning Bukujutsu IC: ~Dammit think girl, think. You've been in stickier situations than this~ ponderred the changeling girl as she slid first the dragonball, and then the dragon radar into her clothing, contemplating her next move. She was a changeling, and could go without air for a month at a time if she had the proper time to prepare, though thrust so suddenly into the water she had two or three days at best, and it was clear that struggling to try and fight through the goop that coverred the top of the lake was well out of the question. Trying to do so was apt to get her stuck in there, with her head trapped in the gunk, doomed to die a disgusting death as her body slowly dehydrated, before finally dying by suffocation, inhaling... whatever that filth was up there. ~Wait... I know what I can do...~ She thought, pulling the radar out once more and adjusting it to maximum brightness, holding it infront of her as a flashlight as she began to swim her way around the lake, though it proved to be a fairly small one, with scarcely a single square mile of surface area, and at most 200 feet deep. Eventually, she found what she was looking for, a cave in the lake-bottom. Swimming into the cave, she found herself travelling down a fairly narrow channel until she had enterred an expansive chamber. After a thorough search, the girl found that, despite all her efforts, there was nothing to be had in here. There was no way out. Settling down onto the surface of the bottom of the chamber, Snow withdrew the dragonball from it's place in her pocket, lining up the light to shimmer off the dragonball, at last getting a clear view of it's golden beauty shimmering off the light. Seated there, on the hard stone of the bottom of the water cave, Snow closed her eyes, slowly entering a medetive state, focusing on the past, her memories, her life. Desperately seeking some sort of answer to the predicament she had found herself in. The seconds passed into minutes, which in turn passed into hours as everything she knew, everything she had been taught flashed before her eyes, when at last it hit her. ~Mike... Mike said something about the stronger fighters being able to fly, he had energy he used sometimes to show off to people and occasionally punish incompetent works with... that's the ticket. If I can learn how to fly, I can get through that muck.~ And so, gradually withdrawing from the meditation, Snow found her vision resting still where it had been, focused on the glowing golden sphere, six organge stars staring her in the face. With her focus still maintained, the girl began to focus on the energy that flowed within her, her chi, or life force, on harnessing it. She could remember Mike demonstrating the power, manifesting it as a red energy that proved extremely destructive. In a flash of understanding she could feel herself floating upwards, and controlled the movement, gliding up, and down, left, and right in the water, practicing the ability in the safety of the liquid, growing in her control and strength. When at last she felt confident in her ability, she pocketted the ball once more, 'flying' through the water filled passageway that had led her into this chamber before making her way to the bottom of the lake, pocketting the dragon radar as well. Closing her eyes, she raised her arms directly above her head, hands forming a spear-point to penetrate the water and gunk with minimum drag as she began swiftly accellerating upwards, kicking fiercly with her legs as she swept her tail side to side, massing every ounce of speed she could gather before locking her body perfectly straight as her hands struck the goop, slowing down as they sliced through it, her body forcing itself up and up, forcing it's way free of the confines. Finally, after a struggle that seemed an eternity Snow felt the tip of her tail at last pull free of the muck, her graceful white body sailing into the darkness, set free of the confines of gravity like a bird thrown from the nest. OOC: 707 words, Learned Bukujutsu. Added (03.04.2010, 10:38 Am) --------------------------------------------- March Great Con and 2 star ball Finally free of the muck that had threatened to end her life, Snow soared high into the sky, clear of the dark and disgusting forest that had encased her, and into the evening sky, surprised by how many hours she had meditated in the under water cave. "I feel great, I'm floating on air, I got the first ball, everything's working out amazing!" she exclaimed to the world, trully happy, thrilled to be alive. A glance down to see just how much of the goop had remained on her bestowed a shocking revelation to the young changeling. Her body, previously dull and functional, now glistened in the moonlight. Her scales shimmerred like brand new, to the point that she could actually make out the lines where one scale ended and another began, something she had never seen before. And her crystal plating... the red 'armor' gems shined in the moonlight, fiery and alive with all the brilliance of a Blood Ruby. ~This is incredible!~ She shouted in her mind, in awe of the cleansing properties of the substance, how it had ripped away years of worn and faded skin to reveal this shimmering fresh layer. Back on Icer all the layers were a necessity of survival, keeping the frigid cold out of the body to protect it's native peoples. But here, on earth, there was no need for such excessive bulk, revealing the clean new scales underneath. A tug of her shirt revealed the impossible, somehow it had gotten under her clothes and done the same to the rest of her flesh. Grinning like a child on christmas morning, the girl withdrew the dragon radar, checking for the next location. "Due south it is." She spoke, checking the position of the moon before heading off to the south, to find the next dragon ball. It wasn't long before the forest began to thin, becoming far more menacing as it revealed patches of clearings, and what appeared to be small roads through the woods, easily wide enough for a horse drawn cart to pass. Tired from her ordeal, and feeling her inner energy reserves beggining to fade, Snow slowly floated herself down onto the path that went the direction she was headed, cautious of danger before touching down on the ground. As much pleasure as it was, flying in the air, it was a comfort to have her feet flat on the surface again. A strength to be gathered from the security of the earth beneath her. In moments, Snow was on her way once more, listening both to the beeps and for trouble as she continued the journey, checking the radar from time to time when she came to a fork in the road, making certain to take the correct path. In time, the path began to grow wider, taking the form of a true road, and the forest began to further thin, showing well tended farmlands down each of the side-paths, her feet carrying her casually in the direction of some kind of settlement, some place where she could find a place to rest, a hot meal, and, unless her instincts were mistaken, the next dragon ball. As the her legs ate away the miles, she found herself entering into rural housing, home's set on plenty of land, with large private gardens and occasionally a goat or some sheep. Inside some of the homes she could see the flickering light of candles, hear the soft hush of mothers reading bedtime stories to their children, of fathers saying prayers for the continued safety of their families, and of thanks for the aid of the one called.... Absit... and for the gracious mercies of "La Resurreccion," whatever the hell that was. Checking the radar once more, finding, to her relief, that the ball was nearby, drawing ever closer as she strode down the deserted street. There, in the center of town, lay a church, clean and well kempt, though clearly run down with age. According to the radar, the object she sought lay within it's walls. "Hello... is anyone in here?" She called as she slowly pressed the door open, only to find a rather rotund man kneeling at the altar in the front, deep in prayer. The dragonball she sought was somewhere within this church, but the radar's signal was disrupted by something, and could not pinpoint it. If she wanted the dragonball without the work of tearing through every nick and cranny of his building, she was going to need his help, and something in her gut told her that threats would be of no use in this. "Why hello yourself." he called out to her cheerily as he rose to his feet, turning to face the young woman. A slight look of surprise showed on his friendly features, before they were swallowed in a warm, welcoming smile. "Welcome to my humble abbey, my name is Absit, and you?" He inquired, going to a sink at the side and reaching into a cabinet, withdrawing a two cups, and a pouch he tore and placed into each, before sliding the cups one after the other through the steaming water. "Here, drink, you must be cold..." spoke the man, taking a sip from his own cup as he welcomed the young female, sitting at a table and bidding she do as well. "Thank you for your kindness.... father Absit..." she began, setting the cup at the table and taking a seat across from him, too cautious to risk ingesting something that could turn out to be a poison. "But I come from a place far colder than the early springtime here on earth. I'm perfectly comfortable, but thank you." "Certainly child, but I would hardly consider myself a father. I am but Brother Absit, a humble friar serving the people as best I can, spreading the love of La Resurreccion to those in need." Ignoring her curiosity at the mention, again, of that organization, Snow pressed onward. "Brother then... you know Brother Absit... I never had a brother..." Those knowing eyes listened carefully with practiced ears, encouraging her to express her pains and troubles. "... infact, I never had a father either. My father left us when I was young." A look of pain could be seen nearly swallowing the brother's features as he rose, walking around the table to wrap his arms around the girl's shoulders. Tensing a moment defensively, Snow relaxed, realizing this man was harmless, and wished nothing but to help, in his peculiar ways. "I'm so sorry to hear that child, it is wrong of men to abandon their families. I know nothing can replace the loss of one's father completely, but know that you have a brother in me child. As well, know that you have a father in Hachi, the leader of La Resurreccion, a champion of justice and freedom, who seeks to set the people free from the chains that bind them. Tell me... Snow, I believe you said, what have you come to me for? What can I do for one in so much pain, other than to be a friend." Small tears of sorrow welled up from God knows where within Snow, reliving her sorrow for the first time in a long time, her shields of confidence and independence shatterred like so much glass, reaching out to hug the brother back, releasing her pain as a child to a beloved uncle. It took her a few moments, but eventually the pain faded, and the girl managed to restore her barricades, strengthening her resolve beyond what it had been. ~I will have to kill this bastard before I leave. No one sees me cry, nobody.~ She thought, a sharp toothed grin spreading across her face. Releasing the grin, and then the hug, the girl looked up into the man's eyes once more. "Brother Absit, I have come here seeking an artifact, an item known as a dragonball." Reaching into her weighted clothes, the changling found and withdrew the sphere, showing the starred face to the friar. "They look like this, but the one I seek would have a different number of stars." A small smile could be seen upon Absit's face. "Ah yes, the dragonballs. Certainly I know of them dear, most students of the divine know of such artifacts. As a matter of course, not long ago a grateful farmer bestowed such a gift upon me, as thanks for my aid with his crops the last year." Looking her over, the man took careful note of her clothing. "Those are weighted training clothes, are they not?" he inquired, to which she could only nod. "I knew fate would smile on this poor village. I have the ball you seek child, carefully hidden and encased in lead to prevent it's exact detection. I need a favor from one of your strength, and once you return, you shall have your dragonball." ~An assignment huh... well I am here for training, and besides, the old man gives a damn about me. Nobody's done that but Mike. I guess I can induldge him, give him what he wants before I kill him.~ She ponderred, before nodding. "Whatever it is Brother Absit, if it is within my power it is yours. How could I not seek to help these people, when I've been welcomed peacefully into their village." A glance out the window into the moonlit night showed the peaceful village at rest, waiting for the next day's labors, happy in their work, and their love for one another. "Well you see, last month, I led a trip to the city, to sell off some spare livestock to tend to the families during the wait before the spring crops, but we were cheated out of our full earnings. When I tried to speak up for our rights and fair trade they struck me and lowered the price yet further. I'm humiliated to say that there was naught I could do for these people when they needed me most. We were shortchanged by 1,000 zennie, and now, despite our best efforts, the funds we recieved are running out. Please help us Snow, I would be forever grateful." Thinking back to her time on Icer, Snow could remember the way some of the changelings were completely destitute, depending entirely on the generosity of others, what little they gotten often being ripped away from them by the demons that were filling the planet during her youth. The children were always hurt the worst, feeling lost, alone, hopeless. When they'd been able, her mother had given some of them jobs, giving them a chance to earn some money and hopefully take a step into a better life. As much as she despised her mother, the woman was not without her good traits. "I'll do it." With that, the friar gave her the directions to the building of the butchery he had been cheated at, and bid her good luck. It was not long before the changeling warrior found the place, taking full advantage of her newly discoverred flight, shifting back into her hideous third form and assailing the cheapskate's and torturing them in the most... devious of ways, until they surrenderred the money that was due the friar, without mentioning the man, nor the village, nor the proper amount. Not only did they give the 1,000 Zennie, but they offerred a total sum of 3,500 Zennie, begging her to spare them and leave them be. With the friar, and a good night's rest waiting, she decided to let the men live, preferring not to draw excessive attention to the attack. Once clear of the city, she returned to her true form, grateful to be herself once again, and returned with the 1,000 Zennie. "Thank you so much Snow." spoke the Friar, turning to get the dragonball. "Wait..." she interrupted him, adding the 2,500 to the table. "What ever is this for?" "When I captured the men, I couldn't tell them how much I needed, or why, or they'd have come here to get revenge. They gave me all the money they had on hand, a full 3500 Zennie of it. At first, I'd planned to keep the money for myself, but when I thought again of all the children here, of how those on my own home sufferred, and of the way this spring hasn't been warming up as it did last year, I felt it best I surrender the money to La Resurreccion, to continue to help these people." A slight blush could be seen spreading on Snow's face. It had been a long time since she'd done something truly selfless, and the sensation was unusual and embarrassing. "I will use it well Snow, thank you. But there is something you do not yet know about this organization. It is centerred on Icer, managed by the brilliant and peaceful warrior Hachi, and with every growing day our strength grows. In time, we shall be the guardians of the galaxy, maintaining peace and prosperity for all. And you, my child, are a part of that grand design, a part of our vision, if you will have us." Hardening a bit against the man's preachy attitude, the changeling only nodded curtly. "Sure, whatever." ~No way. There is no way something so peaceful and kind started on Icer, it.... it's not possible... is it???~ "If you return to your home planet Snow, you should seek Hachi out. He is a strong and good man, and I am sure he will be pleased to meet you. You may rest the night here, in one of the spare rooms, and in the morning you may do as you wish." Those words finished, the man turned, opening the floorboard and withdrawing a lead chest, opening it and handing her the two star ball. "This, belongs to you. Use it well child, and may fate smile you in whatever you do in life." After pocketting the ball, Snow found a room to her tastes, locked it up, opened the window to the crisp night air, stripped away the weights, and collapsed, exhausted, into the deepest and most peaceful sleep she'd had since her arrival on earth. OOC: 2362 words. (1250 don't count for PL since they are March's great con) So 1112 words that will count for training (including finding the 2 star dragonball.) She's currently sleeping in a spare room in the abbey in a small farming village. Added (03.04.2010, 10:41 Am) --------------------------------------------- OOC: (also, she's officially joined La Resurreccion and gave the rewards of her con to Brother Absit, who will be transferring those 2500 to Hachi for use as he desires.)

| Up in the sky, the green skinned scientist flew overhead. Down below, he could see a wide, open field. Plenty of grass and flowers. Oh how he enjoyed flowers… Organic beauty at it’s finest. The sun was just rising, causing the sky itself to be ignited in a vibrant array of colors ranging from a flaming orange to more passive yellows. The clouds only adding to the texture of the entire scene. True, AREU was an android. But even he could find appreciation for such a morning. Even if it was purely from a scientific standpoint. Eventually the android’s eyes noticed something in the distance. A town of sorts. A small farming community surrounded by hills and a large forest just north of it. AREU didn’t really have much use for human towns. Being a machine he did not need to eat or drink. Or even rest, for that matter. But still, he felt compelled to approach it. You never really know what you might find. And the journey to Korin’s Tower could always be put off until a later time. It wasn’t like the tower was going to move or anything. Slowly, the android descended from the sky, touching down in the middle of the town square. Many of the various people stopped what they were doing, staring at the green skinned android. Such a thing was not unusual for AREU. Being a green humanoid tended to get him a lot more attention that he would prefer. And of course, the fact he was flying did not help either. Very few on this planet was capable of the feat, even if to the android it was a fairly easy task. Looking around the village, he was able to make out one building that stood above the rest of the smaller homes and businesses. It was intriguing to say the least. What purpose would there to build a place so large? The curious android decided to check it out, making his way over to the other side of town. He eventually arrived at the front of the building. After a brief pause to admire the structure of this fine door, AREU reached out and opened it, entering the room. His eyes scanned the place, examining the various people. Most of whom immediately turned to face the strange, green man. Straightening his glasses, AREU stepped in, walking down the aisle. words: 399

| Yawning lazily in bed, Snow rolled over, to find her eyes opening right in the brilliant colors of the morning light, her system forced awake from the view as she sat up, rubbing her eyes against the soreness. "I wonder what all that noise is..." she pondered, twisting to the side of the bed and slipping on her weighted clothes, heading for the door. Outside her room, she found herself viewing several people in the room, smiling and waving to a peculiar green man, wearing glasses and a lab coat no doubt. "You got a name?" She inquired to the man, putting a hand on her hip as she leaned against the wall of the foyer, watching what was going on with interest.

| The android stared at the various people in the room. All greeting him with waves and hellos. It was… Awkward. He had never received such a warm welcome before. And certainly not my random townspeople. And off to the side stepped a strange creature. One like AREU had never seen before. It was a white alien. No hair. Smooth, almost cold blooded skin. And a dominant reptilian looking tail. And yet… She had breasts? This… This defied all knowledge AREU had on Earth bioforms and their various species. Reptiles did not have breasts! As a general rule, mammary glands was a mammalian trail. And the only race to have particularly large breasts were either humans for cows. And this most certainly was not a cow. Though perhaps some variant of a strange, space cow. She had the proper pigmentation, if not a mild issue with her also having red locations on her person. At any rate, it seemed this female, if it IS a female, was requesting the android’s name. Turning his attention to the unidentifiable creature, and essentially ignoring the rest of the crowd, AREU responded in a calm, monotone voice. “I am Artificial Research and Exploration Unit Nine Nine Nine Six. Otherwise referred to as A.R.E.U. What are you?” The android did not realize it, but he had placed a bit of emphasis on the ‘what’. His goal wasn’t to seem mean or aggressive, but it was certainly the most prominent question on his mind. words: 247

| Snow was no stranger to being questioned as to what she was, nor to the unfriendly attitude the... machine... it seemed... had directed her way. "My name, is Snow, you know, like the precipitation. My species... is none of your concern, for the time being. Perhaps I'll tell you later, when I've known you a little better." Pressing off the wall, and stepping into the light, the machine would no doubt be able to see the lines in her scales, glistening softly in the morning glow, her rose red "crystal plating" sparkling faintly. The night's work collecting money had worked her scales, beginning the process of building up a full insulating layer once more, but for the time being her fresh scales were clearly visible, a notable difference to the usual changeling appearance. "So... Areu..." She said, pronouncing the acronym rather than spelling it as she continued her motion towards him, reaching towards his arm gently, in a casual, non-threatening manner, intent to take the arm and guide him with her. "What's say you come with me outside and we have a chat about some things, leave these people to their own affairs." ~And find out what help you can be to me.~ She added mentally, knowing full well from her talks with Mike that most of these things were built to be capable fighters.

| As snow took hold of the android’s arm, she would notice it is easily four to five times heavier than that of a normal human being. Most obviously because he is constructed of metal. A very special kind of metal, but it was still metal. Furthermore, she would notice AREU did not budge when she attempted to lead him. At least not at first. It didn’t take the android long to decide to follow this space cow of secrets. Whatever this creature was, it was more likely to reveal new information than this old, worn down building and the strangely happy people within it. Despite the fact AREU was walking forward along side her, his eyes were still heavily fixed on Snow. The light green cross hair targets in the center that he had in place of pupils seemed to be locked on. Little did the alien woman know that the android’s eyes were actually his most powerful weapon. As trusting as he was, his training with Master Shen had taught him to always be prepared to defend himself. Especially when an attractive female was getting close like this. Of course, AREU did not know with absolute certainty if she was female or not, but he felt decently sure she was. The body type matched that of a human woman. Minus the tail, of course. As the two exited the building, AREU felt more free to speak. In all honesty, the kind hearted villagers were rather unnerving to him, and he was glad to be out of their company. “What is it you wished to speak of, exactly?” He questioned. words: 270

| "You know... I'm not really sure. Those are such friendly people, I hated the thought of frightening them with the sorts of statements that might pass between us, there's no reason to put them through that." ~After all...~ she thought, maintaining the pleasant smile on her face, ~I might need to crash here again. Can't be spoiling my welcome that's for damn sure.~ "For starters, Areu, I'd like to know who designed you and for what purpose. What sort of Research are you intended for, and where is it you are Exploring? Surely your creator didn't need one of your talents for investigating a small farming village." At last releasing the heavy arm, Snow turned to face the 'man' once more, meeting his eyes unflinchingly, cautious to a fault, but interested in the truth. She knew little of androids, but from what she had read of them they didn't seem the type for subtlety. If she were being hunted for some reason, odds favor he'd have killed her in her sleep. "As for what I am, I am a native of the planet Icer. If you have data on that planet's inhabitants, you should have little trouble linking me to them."

| “I was built by the human inventor Dr. Hisakata. For more information check out the book line ‘Burning Passion’.” The android stated bluntly, pausing only after mentioning the books. “Why did I say that?” He openly exclaimed, before shaking his head and returning his gaze to meet hers. “Anyway… I am intended for all variety of research, primarily in locations difficult for a human being to survive. It was my inventor’s wish that I perform research assignments deemed to dangerous for an organic life form to survive.” As the space cow explained where she was from the android immediately began to search his memory banks. Regrettably he was not able to download the information on celestial locations and planets as of yet. Dr. Hisakata’s lab and main computer having been completely destroyed prior to his coming on line. He had only a basic understanding of the universe. “No information on the planet Icer can be found.” He exclaimed, his voice sounding more robotic than usual. Most likely this was a prerecorded file within his mind that had not yet been edited, as it was simply meant to be an automatic response. words: 191

| "Burning Passion? Bleh, I read one of those, just smut, no real action or depth to it" she replied, the wheels already beginning to turn within her mind at the thought of what this machine was designed for, and how she could use it for her own purposes. "I suppose, Areu, that if you wished to accompany me I could teach you about my origins, but I must tell you that I am on a quest of sorts. A task that was given me by the man who adopted me after I moved here to earth. Would you be willing to help me Areu?" Briefly scanning the area to be sure none were watching, she reached into her clothes and withdrew the two dragonballs she had found so far, the six star ball and the two star ball. "These, are called dragonballs. They are rumored to be magic, and have the power to conjure a magical dragon when all seven of them are gathered together in one place. My papa challenged me with a Research task of my own. To find and test them, discover if the legends are true." Sliding the balls back into their pouch, she leaned in and up towards his ear, stretching clear up onto the tips of her toes with the aid of her tail for balance. "Would you be willing to help me with my Research, Artificial Research and Exploration Unit Nine Nine Nine Six?"

| The android’s interests were peaked. His curiosity nearly overwhelming, though he did not express it. Or rather could not, as his face lacked the necessary mechanisms to allow such a display. His eyes drifted down to the young female’s balls. Her bright orange, starred balls. Could they truly be magical? No, impossible. Magic was not real. However the prospect that it could still exist was highly interesting. Countless thoughts flashed within the android’s artificial mind. A dragon? A creature of legend said to reptilian in appearance, yet able to fly and breath fire. And some might be capable of granting wishes! And sort of species was it? Cold blooded or warm blooded? Did it have antlers and wings? Four legs or six? Did it have breasts like this reptilian Icer thing? All the things that could be learned! Even if the chances of the rumors being true were false, he had to at least try. The magical Korin’s Tower would have to wait a bit longer. New discoveries were just out of AREU’s reach, and this strange being may be just the stepping stone he needed. “I will assist you in gathering this dragon’s balls.” He said, blissfully unaware of the obvious innuendo he just made. His emotionless and monotone voice making it rather apparent he felt no humor in the bad pun. “How will I locate them?” He asked, now just trying to get information that would be required for him to optimize his search. words: 246

| Leaning back, the woman smiled softly, returning the balls to their place in her weighted clothing, withdrawing the dragon radar to display it to him, and show how it showed that she had two balls in her position, and the direction to the nearest dragon ball. "This..." she began, "Is called a dragon radar. It displays the direction of the nearest dragon ball, acting as a kind of homing beacon to guide a gatherer to the artifacts. As one draws closer, it displays the bearer's location relative to the ball, guiding you right to it. But I have to warn you, lead can mess with the signal, you'll be able to get fairly close, but may need to actively seek it out in the vicinity, due to the interference. "Oh, and one last thing, according to the manual I was given with it. A dragon radar alters the signal of dragon balls in close proximity to it, such as within one meter. This is to keep these balls off the screen, as well as prevent allied seeker's from accidentally coming after one-another, and able to focus their efforts on the task as a whole. If you want to find other hunters, you press this button..." she said, pointing to one of the buttons on the surface of the tool, "and it will display any gathered dragonball's directions from you. I've heard capsule corps sells them to those who ask, but they keep them off the shelves to prevent possible public relations problems concerning the legend."

| AREU nodded at the explanation, understanding how a radar system works extremely well. In the end, it became apparent that he required one of these devices to track the dragon balls down himself. The course of action was quite clear. While the girl talked of purchasing one from a local store, AREU had a much simpler solution in mind. With his right hand AREU gently took the device, holding it up at eye level as if to examine it. Then, without warning, he popped it in his mouth. Swallowing the device whole. What Snow did not know, was that within the android’s body countless tiny, nanobots were working diligently. His internal body scanning the device and examining it layer by layer. Every component observed from every angle. Piece by piece, the machine was analyzed. And soon after, replicated. The nanobots used various spare components within AREU himself to use as scrap metal, melting it down and reforming it in much the same way termites use earth and saliva to form their own buildings. And soon, an entirely new device, completely identical to the first, was created. On the outside of AREU, the android would hold up his right and left hand to his mouth. Soon spitting out two different dragon radars, one in each hand. They weren’t salivated on, of course. As an android AREU did not produce bodily fluids. And both radars were in perfect working order. Holding the original radar in his right hand, the green skinned researcher would hand it to Snow. All of this seemed perfectly normal. At least to AREU. The few passers by who happened to witness this feat stood in place, staring blankly at the strange occurrence. Not quite afraid. More so just weirded out. words: 292

| Snow watched on in mild shock as the android took the dragon radar from her grasp, popping it in his mouth. ~Stay calm Snow... he's a machine and an exploration one at that, there must be something to this... ewwwwwwww gross!~ She thought, as she watched him eject the two identical tools, handing one to her. A quick glance at the device revealed it was fully functional, showing the same direction as it had before. "Um... that worked... I guess..." Still grossed out by the experience, though grateful there hadn't been any fluids, she took a quick glance around, noticing that they had acquired a bit of a crowd during the transaction. "Alright, I'm going to go say my goodbyes to my host for last night, you go ahead and follow the radar to the nearest ball, I'll head the opposite direction until I find the next one. And so on. Since there are 5 left, hopefully we'll be meeting up again at the last, but if you find that we've gathered them all then come to me and we'll meet and see if this legend really is true." Turning away at that point, she headed towards the church before pausing, thinking to try a direct command and see how the machine would respond. "Artificial Research and Exploration Unit Nine Nine Nine Six, execute operation as follows: secure the stated objects, and rendezvous with me as soon as possible." With the command given, she continued on her way into the church, to say her goodbyes and leave the android to his task.
