Kamina…
A man fueled by his unbreakable will, requiring nothing else to break any notion of what would once have been thought of as possible.
His one desire?
To become the drill that will pierce the heavens! A desolate landscape.
Like… real desolate.
Middle of the desert desolate, with huge rock pillars and such standing all around.
That’s how desolate it is!
His cloak lying by the side, Kamina stands perfectly still. His eyes are focused… all but closed. His hands are held at his sides. The wind is lightly blowing through his hair, moving it ever so slightly as he stares at the small formation of rocks that stand before him.
Sweat runs down the side of his as he, finally, with a loud yell, thrusts his right hand forward. Sweat falls from his hand in the movement as he stop it, his palm facing the rocks… where nothing at all happens.
Kamina simply stares at them, a look of disbelief and anger in his eyes as one of them, slowly, slides down, moved by a particularly strong gust of wind.
“AAARH! GODDAMMIT!” he shouts, at the top of his lungs naturally, as he throws his arms down to his side and starts stomping around, fumes literally rising from his head.
Patience had never been one of his strong sides… but if he was going to master the user of his energy… or ki… or whatever the hell you wanted to call it… Kamina pretty much knew that he had to try and be patient. Reach into himself and all that.
But even something really simple, like pushing things back with his ki… well… It didn’t quite flow.
Turning to the stones again, he yells at the top of his lungs as he pushes his hand forward once more, palm facing the rocks. He would give this everything he had, if necessary. He was not about to give up just because of some stupid setback… and… with a sound as if it has been punched or kicked, the top rock is sent flying back, away from Kamina.
Instantly, he has his sunglasses in his hand, pushing them up so they cover his eyes completely, the sun shining in them for a quick moment. “Naturally, I, the great genius Kamina-sama would master such a pathetic technique in a matter of hours!” he states. He didn’t exactly lack confidence in himself.
Of course, he knows that he would be far from done here. After all… this was basics. He tries it a few more times, thrusting his hands forward one after another, sending small rocks flying, before turning to a larger target.
The basics were in place. He could focus his ki. Now he just need to focus it into something that was actually destructive…
He smirks as he stares towards the rock face before him… He can do this. He knows he can.
He had read all of Oyaji’s old books about martial arts. He had practiced a bit with Oyaji by himself, as well… of course, it was kind of limited what Oyaji could do in his advanced age, but, he had taught Kamina about the Kaiho technique that he had just used… and had taught him that if you first learned that… then actually being able to focus your ki into destructive energies would be easy.
And if it he found out that he couldn’t do it as easily, he would tear down whatever barrier inside him that kept him from doing just that!
And just then, as he thinks those thoughts, a small, glowing orb starts forming in his hand. Feeling the heat in his hand, he grins widely, before, suddenly, it expands, the light from the ki orb in his hand reflecting in his sunglasses as he stares at it. With a yell, he throws it towards the rock… where it causes at least a noticeable dent, even if it doesn’t quite destroy the rock.
“Damn…” Kamina mutters, before a manic grin starts creeping across his lips. “So that’s how you want to play, heh?” he asks the rock, it seems, as he holds his hands out to the sides, glowing energy balls appearing in both… and then the throws them forward again and again, continuing to throw energy balls at the rock, until its pulverized.
Yep… This was helping already.

As far as Kamina remembered from Oyaji’s books, there were two more techniques that one should be able to learn without too much training like this… At least if one had some noticeable ki. And hell, Kamina had PLENTY to spare.
First… powering up. Basically becoming way stronger than you already are. Kamina can totally see why that would be useful in a fight.
For this, he need to reach inside himself (at least as far as he remember). Reach in and pull out the hidden power that everyone was supposed to have. Like, y’know, stuff that would go past your sense of self-preservation. All of the good stuff. Using his will. Kamina smirks slightly at the thought. Use his will to become stronger. Yeah… They can just BRING IT ON as far as he is concerned.
With a loud yell, he folds his hands into fists and starts pumping his arms up and down, the sun reflecting in his sunglasses as a small amount of sand is blown away from around his feet. He can almost feel how everything from inside him just started rushing out. He loves this. This rush, as his energy washes out through his body, empowering him, strengthening him… making him stronger than he already is. With another loud yell, Kamina thrusts his hands out to the side, the sand around him falling down as he stops to stare at his own hands for a moment. He turns to a rock similar to the one the struggled to destroy before and, with a grin, shoots out a blast of ki towards it, destroying it with one blow.
“Oh yeah… This is some good stuff.”
He lets it go… He doesn’t need to be powered up like this for the last technique that he figures that he should be able to do at this point. The bukujutsu. He actually need to try and calm down for this one, as far as he knows from the books that he read.
Nothing to do about it, though. He just has to get through it. Walking over to his cloak, he picks it up and throws it over his shoulders. If this worked… then he was out of here. There were other places that he needed to go… Actually, there’s ONE other place that he really want to go. But he kinda need to know bukujutsu (or get a car or something) if he want to get there fast.
He closes his cloak, letting it fall over his shoulders and rest, only moving slightly in the wind. He slowly unclenches his fists as he closes his eyes.
Calm down. Relax. Just, y’know, chill. That’s really all that Kamina has to do… of course, there’s only one problem. He’s much too excited by this to just calm down. After all, bukujutsu… now that was something else. These things were just pure destructive… sure, that COULD be fun too… but bukujutsu? That was the ability to actually FLY. And really… the ability to fly. That would bring him ever closer to his goals.
Opening his eyes, he stares up at the sky, a smirk playing across his lips. He will become the drill that will pierce the heavens.
And, suddenly, slowly… He realizes that his feet are not touching the ground anymore. Kamina looks down, the smirk playing across his lips once more, before turning his eyes up, staring out, into the distance. He can see a long, thin line… a tower. The tower that Oyajia told him he should search out and climb, that some master are supposed to live on the top of it… someone who can help him become stronger, who can help train him.
And honestly? Kamina knows that he needs help. He needs someone to guide him, to tell him what to do. Sure, he can make up a lot of stuff on the fly, but in the long run, he will need to use some of the established stuff as well… And, with a wide grin playing across his lips, Kamina sets off, flying in the direction of the tower.
