AREU flew up high overhead, the small dragon radar resting in the palm of his right hand. The little plimp on the screen indicated the ball was getting close. It would only be a few minutes before he finally reached his destination. The next dragon ball. How interesting a discover this would be.

Touching down in a random forest, the android scanned the area. There didn’t seem to be anything of interest here beyond some interest trees. At least interesting to AREU. To any human they would just be trees. Not seeing any orange balls, the android decided to check the dragon radar. Looking down, he saw the plimp moving just behind him. Wait.. Moving? Balls don’t move on their own. With a sudden spin around the android’s cross hair eyes focused intently on a familiar sight. A tall man in green and gold clothing, and interestingly missing the insignia of the martial arts school he got the gi from. It was Mercenary White, holding one of the dragon balls in his hand.

The Mercenary stopped immediately, staring at AREU with a slight look of panic on his face. “Uh… h-hi… Green guy… Long time no see, huh?”

The android stared the man down, no expression on his face as always. What an ironic turn of events. Once again, this man seemed to be standing between AREU has his goal. “Hand me the dragon ball.” He said, holding out his free hand.

“What? This? This isn’t a dragon ball! Its… CHEESE! Yes, that’s right. it’s a cheese ball. Made to look like a dragon ball!” The mercenary lied, every word nudging just a little further to the left.

“Cheese does not give off a signal on a dragon radar.” AREU replied bluntly.

“Well… I don’t know about tha- RUN AWAY NO JUTSU!” The man yelled, swiftly darting off away from AREU.

The android stared at his opponent for a moment, watching him flee with tremendous speed. In truth, the android had never seen someone run quite that fast before. After a few seconds of trying to fathom how such a weak man could run so fast, the android leaped into action, dashing after him. Regrettably, it soon became apparent that this man was just to fast, slowly fading away into the distance. Cackling madly about how he was unbeatable. How he was the greatest martial artist in all the universe! The great mercenary looked back to see AREU’s futile attempt to keep up. And in his moment of not watching where he was going, BAM! He rammed his head right into a low hanging branch. Knocking the Mercenary out cold.

As the android finally reached his opponent’s unconscious body, he couldn’t help but feel bad for the man. But that moment soon passed as he reached down, and picked up the alleged cheese ball. Sure enough, it was a dragon ball. Just as AREU had thought in the first place.

For a moment the android looked back at the unconscious Mercenary White. Perhaps it would be best if he took the man to a hospital? Ultimately though, AREU decided this was just punishment for lying, and flew off. Leaving the unconscious man to whatever fate had in store for him.

I will not back
a step away
from that hoard-guardian.
We two shall end
as fate decrees.
