You just finished a training thread that consisted of 1000 words. Going by the training equation, it would come to a gain of 500 powerlevel (1000 /2 = 500). This gain is then added to your existing powerlevel to come up with your new powerlevel.
If the roleplay is multi-person { more than 1 member character; your own henchmen don't count } you gain a x1.5 boost by the end of the training. This means that the gain from the aforementioned 1030-word training would be calculated as such: 1000 /2 = 500 x1.5 = 750. So the total gain is 750 powerlevel.
Using Weights
Training
with the use of weights reduce your base pl, but gives you a boost in
the gains. The "Improved Weights", for example, lower your pl by 50% while giving you a gain of x2 to your training. Using the 1000-word training example from above, this would equate to: 1000 /2 = 500 x2 = 1000. This means the gain is now 1000. If it were a multi-person thread and you wore the "Improved Weights", this would equate to a 1500 powerlevel gain (1000 /2 = 500 x1.5(multi-person) = 750 x2(weights) = 1500).
Common Training
Comon
training involves any kind of training, from a meditation, to lifting
weights, practicing skills and the like. Other type of common training
is questing for moves and abilities. You can have others to join, in order
to get multi-person increases.
Common Roleplay
This is basically talking, meeting on a dinner, doing laundry and other ordinary roleplaying aside from real training.
Battles
The
funniest part of the Dragonball world: kicking ass and blowing stuff up
with energy. Battles involve two or more characters fighting and they
can be either NPC or v.s. Member. If you fight against another member,
you'll get multi-person gains. However, there are a few rule to
consider when fighting:
Life: There
is no actual life system on the site. You just be fair about the damage
you take. An energy blast can pretty much kill you being 3 times as
powerful as yourself.
Stamina: Like
the "Life", stamina also isn't measure in the site. Just be sure that
the faster you move... the higher the level of the move you use... the
longer you fight... all that reduces your stamina and energy source. So
be fair about when you get tired.
Using Moves: The
power of the moves is equal to the users pl. Some may give a bonus to
stat / pl, but it's all based on the user current pl / stat. In battle,
you can use moves to clash others. But naturally, higher level moves
are stronger, so, if you shoot a simple energy ball on an omega bomb,
the lv 6 move will surely overwhelm the lv 1 move energy ball and keep
heading towards the target. In those cases of moves clashing, for every
level one move is above another, it will get a +10% bonus to overwhelm
it. Using the example already given, Energy Ball is a Lv 1 move and
Omega Bomb is a Lv 6. Since Omega Bomb is 5 levels higher than Energy
Ball, it would get a 50% bonus {x1.5} to overwhelm the weaker technique
and keep heading towards the target. Damage won't be increased in anyway
by this extra bonus though.
Actions: You
can't act infinite times in a post. You can't simply transform,
power up, defend, speed up, shoot blasts and go on a melee combo
assault on a character in a single post. Normally, you have two actions
per post. You could use this actions to transform into a higher level,
defend an incoming attack, activate an ability or a support move or
attack your opponent. But only two of these actions per post. Talking
doesn't really count towards these 2 actions per post, unless you talk
for too long. Be fair about your movements.
Strength: Basically,
measures the power of the punches and melee attacks. If you're grabbed,
you won't get rid of the char who grabbed you unless you are stronger,
or do something really smart to escape.
Speed and Sight Speed: Speed
and Sight Speed are related in a battle. Normally, your sight speed is x1.2
times greater than your speed and gets higher as you put more points into
sensing. If you have a high sight speed, you can spot characters moving
around more easily, even if their speed exceed yours. That doesn't mean that you can avoid all of their attacks. Being able to spot a
char's movement allows you to react to them. You won't be able to dodge
completely if the character is cosiderably faster than you. Also, if
their speed exceeds your sight speed, you won't be able to spot them
moving if they don't want to be seen. Be fair about speed though. There is
never a 100% chance of dodging.
Sensing
This
can be used in battle to help you locate your opponents when your other
common senses fail you. However, non-powered forms of attacks, such as
common punches and kicks, can't be detected through the 6th sense in
common ways.
Other Forms
Some
places such as the Battle Stadium, Vegeta's Tower and the Hyperbolic
Time Chamber / Frozen Tower have different gains. For better
information on that, check the respective pages.
