Normally, I would start this story with the narrative of a new day starting with the sun rising over our hero’s head. But there’s no new day. Not a new training day. And also, we have no hero.. I’m here to try and explaining to you how Dodoria knows how to use his ki to do stuff. If you cared enough to read the previous story, you’ll remember that I left a headstart on this explanation on the last few lines. If you didn’t… well… In resume, Dodoria knows how to use ki, because he does. It is what the characters in this universe do. I will try to be a little bit more detailed than “because he does”, but it is basically what I mean. Proceeding, anyone who watches the show, knows that all characters and their abilities in the Dragonball world are resumed to their ki. Being a demon, Dodoria has powers and he is aware of then. Of course, the real control and mastery of then required a little bit of training first. Simple things like projecting your strength out of your body is very simple to do { in martial arts, those strikes with the palms of your hands that hurl people meters away of distance is a good example of what I am trying to say } are the most common forms of techniques; by learning martial arts you can easily do that. And certainly Dodoria knows how to fight, something he developed on his own and is very proud of.

The knowledge of an interior fuel, training and fighting skills { even if at first it wouldn’t display as much finesse as a kung fu kachi showdown } certainly open doors to other things. Dodoria didn’t really have to spend months, weeks, or days to learn how to transform his strength in a more visible, destructive force. The ability to shoot energy practically came with him from his cradle { Though I don’t even dare imagining the circumstances or how Dodoria would look like as a baby… } . In those cases, many times a simple stimulus triggers the first usage of an energy Blast. In Dodoria’s case it was totally unexpected and involuntary. He inadvertently blew up a little representative of Icer’s curious fauna when he tried to pick it out of curiousity in his first moments of life. After the lights faded and the smoke cleared, there was only a small crater where the animal was previously standing and no signs of it anywhere close. That was the Dodoria’s entrance in the martial artists’ world; from that point on he started to work on that ability, slowly gaining control of the beams’ intensity and also got to control when to shoot ki blast to avoid the death of innocent animals and rocks { not that he ever cared about that, as many of those served as targets / moving targets for him to practice his aim } . His liking of that capability was so great that he soon created his own version of the technique; an as well yellowish energy beam, with a higher concentration of ki that he creatively called Dodoria Beam.

Now how was Dodoria able to fly? I’m going to reinforce here what I said in my other character’s story: Bukujutsu, the ability to fly certainly is nothing something you just know. At leats in the majority of the cases. But the explanation isn’t too complicated either. At first, Dodoria knew only how to walk; The only way ki would affect his type of movement was by making it faster than humanly possible patterns. Later on, he would be able to master his ki use and fly around in the skies like even the less experienced martial artists can. The thing is that using ki to fly is nothing but an extension of the basic mountain blowing and etc… The ability is hidden there, somewhere, it just need a small push. One from the inside out, that is. It is only pathetic humans like you and me that will never be able to do stuff like that. To be fair with you, Dodoria didn’t really have to go through all the ki controlling crap. At one point that his body was just strong enough for him to do it, he simply did it. Years later on his lifetime, he was on his routine workout and suddenly, when he was fooling around with his Dodoria Beam by aiming here and there to explode things, at one point he concentrated so much energy that his body started to float. It was a funny thing. Dodoria’s leg were wiggling in the air as he was trying to figure out what the hell just happened to him. Naturally, he didn’t have to be a Sherlock Holmes to solve that mystery and with a few moments of studying the situation and trying to maintain his balance above the ground, Dodoria was soon up there in the skies. A few hours of practicing and he as as good as a butterfly… or whatever other winged creature I can horrify by making Dodoria take its form in a metaphorical example.

The fourth and last basics, it’s no deal. Only a real stimulus to unlock this one technique. Perhaps a couple of races in the universe have their own form of powering up as a natural thing, but I can assure you it required at least a little of training. With Dodoria it wasn’t any different. It was when he made his first group assault to another. He already had a few minions accompanying him by then and he has just reached the head of the group. He wanted his territory to expand his own. This “fellow” demon he was attacking had a larger henchmen contingent but Dodoria and his few henchmen were more powerful and easily overwhelmed the characters. It was all seemed to be going smooth and it seemed that the battle was won already. Of course, that was until the demon lord figure out his minions were bound to lose and decided to involve himself in the battle as well. With a very discrete entrance { he shot an energy ball in the middle of Dodoria’s henchmen while fighting his own, knocking out the majority of them } . Only the strongest, Dodoria and his top henchmen were left standing after that. The two ganged on the demon lord, but Dodoria’s follower was easily and quickly defeated, leaving Dodoria to face the demon alone; leader versus leader match. I’m going to be cliché and tell you that the demon leader easily outmatched Dodoria to the point he was almost defeated and his group eradicated that day. That was the stimulus I mentioned on the first line of this paragraph. Enraged, Dodoria was able to tap into his inner power and unlock a whole new level of it. Now, twice as powerful as before, he covered the edge the rival demon lord had against him and surpassed the man. In the end, Dodoria won and though he lost some of his followers, he succeeded in eradicating the enemy and seizing their territory. I might tell you that story with better details sometime in the future, but for now I am going to leave another:

To be continued...
