Alright, I was going over the moves and deciding what I wanted to do with my character and was a bit confused with the way effects and drawbacks work, so i'll just put down my understanding of it and you can correct me if i'm wrong:

lvl 1 gets no effects, unless you put a drawback on it, then you get one of the listed effects or something similar in strength.

lvls 2-7 get one of the listed effects, or one of a lower level, and can add a second if it has a drawback, or add two more effects if the drawback is the one that kills the character when used.

if thats right, yay for me, or fix my understanding as needed. also, do multiple drawbacks grant multiple effects? or could drawbacks allow you to use an effect of a higher level?

No, you can never have more than 2 effects on a single technique. To keep it simple.

Depending on the drawback... perhaps you can use the effect of a higher level. But only things like death, no damage ... The most severe types of drawbacks.

Ok, so drawbacks only add a single extra affect regardless of the amount of drawbacks, got it. Thanks for the info, thats helps me quite a bit
