LIFE STORY
A good time ago, when the demons were only just beginning to find the way to Icer, a beautiful young changeling woman was greeted by a handsome being, a changeling he seemed, though there was something about him that she could not place. The 'man' was harsh and abusive, prone to spurts of violence with the least provocation, worse than was common even among changelings, but it seemed, in his own way, that he grew to love the woman, as she too loved him.

As the years went by, the man grew bored of his prize and departed, leaving her pregnant without his knowledge, carrying a child that was more than just a changeling. A child with the soul of a demon.

And so it was, that Snow was born, to a woman with her lover departed, and her own soul harboring a darkness she could never truly understand without the guidance of a creature that had left without a promise of return.

As she matured, it became clear to her mother that Snow was different from the other children. More violent, more cruel and ruthless. While the other changelings were hardened by their parents, for fear they would not become strong enough to survive the harsh conditions of the planet, Snow was instead nurtured and loved.

This little changeling girl was all that was left of her beloved, and she was strong and fierce, but she had no love, nor compassion. Slowly, the child gained a measure of love and peace to herself, although the constant rantings wore on her, beginning to strain the relationship between mother and daughter.

Before long, the teenage 'years' were upon her, the period in most creature's lives when the restraint of a parent chafes against the longings of freedom rising up in their child. Tiffs grew into arguments, arguements into screaming matches, and finally, at long last, the pair came to blows, with Snow getting the worst end of it.

Ignoring her mother's pleas for forgiveness, snow plunged into the world alone, making her way to a city and struggling on her own, gradually acquiring the funds required. The money it would take to get out of there and home for herself somewhere else where she would never have to see the bitch again.

With a stroke of luck, Snow was out of there in a matter of months, paying freight and hitching a ride on a transport ship headed for earth.

Once there, she found herself surrounded by people who were frightened by her strange appearance, by people who wanted nothing to do with some 'alien freak.'

However, she was not alone. Snow did not surrender, but instead hardened herself against the fear of others, and went about setting herself up in this place, quickly learning the ease of stealing what she wanted.

In time, she would find herself becoming more 'human' gaining a taste for their music, preferring to wear their clothes, and all in all becoming completely assimilated into the earthan culture. But through it all, one thing never left her, and that was the darkness in her heart.
