| Sliph's Captain's Log, March Ninth, two-thousand ten, after the twenty-four hour Maiden Voyage: After a fairly uneventful journey, the Slyph has arrived at her destination, although I must confess this is not the destination that I had intended. It seems that an unidentified safety protocol dictated that a request to travel 'home' without further specification, commands her, yes, that's right I said her, I shall explain that in a moment, to return to her own place of origin. The planet Namek. During the trip, I came to discover that the ship, by the name of Slyph, is not only a powerful computing device, but is in fact sentient, with the personality of a woman. She has taken to using her holographic projector to emulate my own appearance when speaking to myself or the rest of her charges, those Travelling within her walls, under her care and protection. It would seem that she is programmed to please her passengers, to make their journey as pleasant and enjoyable as possible, and as such endeavors to bring pleasure of any sort within her power to her charges. It was this desire, however, that brought her into conflict with A-R-E-U, the Android serving as our Engineer and mechanic. She seems to have bonded with him, building a romantic attachment to her fellow machine, looking for one on her own level with whom to commune. And that, was not going to work. Areu is a very business oriented machine, not designed for emotional interaction or pleasure or satisfaction of any sort, and he wanted no part of the Slyph's advances. A fact made far worse by the way he ended up stimulating her during his maintenance routines. After an awkward period, and some womanly advice from the captain for the ship, the two seem to have patched their differences. It was during our journey that we uncovered a stowaway, a strange boy of seemingly earth origin with the most peculiar power to phase through solid objects. With no money to pay for passage, he was assigned to aid AREU in the engine room, though for the most part he served only to annoy the engineer, in the end earning a strange energy blast that set his pants aflame, culminating in the passenger abandoning his duties at once. And now, at last, here we are, boldly investigating a planet where no woman has gone before! Or at least... No changeling woman... most likely.... anyways... our inspection of the external proved my suspicions. The Slyph is primarily undamaged, aside from many scratches left by the asteroid debris. With which I immediately provided work for our 'guest', assigned to buff the scratches and give the big girl a new paint job while I took a position on a strange tree in the distance, to both observe him and ensure he followed his assignment, as well as to gain a vantage point to see anything that should approach. This is Captain Snow, of the Star Ship Slyph, signing out. OOC: 500 words

| AREU floated around the outside of the ship, examining the various dents and minor damage caused to the hull. It wasn’t to bad, overall. And she could function perfectly even with the damage. But still, AREU felt it was his duty to ensure the damage was repaired. Flight made this chore infinitely easier, of course. Unlike his subordinate engineer, AREU had no need to climb or use ladders to reach the higher areas of the vessel. Even so, he could not help but look at this strange new planet he found himself on. It was a very blue planet, strangely enough. Much of the grass was a greenish blue color, and the trees looked like mushrooms than the trees of Earth. And the wildlife. He had not seen a single mammalian creature since he arrived. A few amphibians here and there. One or two reptiles… And no mice. No rodents. And no mammals at all. How he wished to go out and explore… Observe some local flora and fauna. But no. Slyph was more important at the moment. She needed his attention before he could satisfy his own needs. Holding out his hand, he began to charge it with an electromagnetic energy, letting a light green glow radiate from his hand. “This might hurt a bit, I’m honestly not sure…” He said idly to the ship. Not entirely aware as to whether she was paying attention or not, but he wanted to make sure he said it just incase. Whether or not the ship would reply, AREU then placed his lightly shimmering hand against the ship hull, letting the magnetic force cling his hand to the metal. Once he had enough magnetic cling, he pulled back with a surprising amount of strength for even a machine, forcing the dent to pop back into place. “There we go…” He said quietly, canceling the magnetic force and removing his hand from the ship hull. It was really a complicated matter AREU had gotten himself into. One minute he was simply in search of a magical cat named Korin, and now he was on another world. It was strange, he thought, how dramatically the fate of a single being can change from the course they had set. It was entirely by chance he met Snow and learned of the dragon balls. And then boarded a magical ship that apparently had romantic interests in him. And now here he was, performing maintenance on that same ship, on a planet billions of miles away from his original destination, and unclear as to what would become of them. But at least it seemed to be a pleasant, sunny planet. AREU had always liked the sun. It was a nice change from his fourteen years living in a deep, underground laboratory with no electricity or light. And the climate was agreeable, or at least he assumed it was based on the observations of the two organics that resided on the ship with him now. “I believe most of your external damage is repaired, Slyph. I just need to get out a few more smaller dents and you will be back to perfect health.” The android announced, speaking verbally to the ship. words: 534

| Walking out from the ship and turning around to face the actual hull of it he smiled as he looked to the ship it had many dings and scratches where he would have to buff and then some how apply a fresh coat of paint which he didn’t have. His body did appreciate the warmth of the planet and it was almost instantly noticeable that his skin had faded to a pale blue during the flight. Looking up at the top of the ship he smiled and wondered how fun it would be to fly up on top of the ship and actually buff up there without having to get a ladder and almost as if simply because he wished it, it came true. His body slowly floated up off of the ground and to the top of the ship, just within range of buffing. Completely caught off guard he could only look from the ship, to the ground, and then back to the ship, wondering exactly how he just managed to do such a thing. He lay there floating for just a moment as he looked around, still wondering on how it happened. After a few moments of thought he just gave up and decided he would figure it out later, it was probably possible all along, he just had to want it bad enough. Leaning against the ship he floated and buffed the scratches slowly, as he nearly day dreamed he thought so hard about how he would be able to fly again after this time… or even if he would ever want to stop flying. OOC: 268 words, learned how to fly(I don’t see anywhere in the rules that says this isn’t possible.)

| From her perch on the tree, Captain Snow watched the pair begin their work, the android setting about drawing the dents out of the hull, probably with some magnetic trick, while Asheron grabbed the wire-brush and lifted up off the ground, surprising the young changeling woman with the ability. "So... looks like the human might have some potential after all. With the way he was pussing out in the ship I was beginning to think he'd be too soft to accomplish anything." Casually, Snow gazed about the area, scanning the perimeter for any signs of trouble, but there was none. She never saw anything larger than a dog, and everything within her field of vision seemed peaceful. "Peace, now that's a concept. Not one I'm sure I'll ever get to enjoy that's for damned sure." Something about this place... called to her, inviting her to relax, to stay and be at peace. It was then that she remembered her peculiar dream, fighting the odd force, struggling against her imminent demise, and then she knew. As long as she stayed here, her sense of self, her ambition was at stake. Rising quickly from her perch, the Captain prepared to end the duties of her subordinates and shove off when a beep in her breast caught her attention. Reaching into the pocket of her weighted training clothes, she found the dragon radar and withdrew it, looking down to find that the device did indeed indicate the presence of dragon balls on this planet. Not wasting any time, she bounded off the huge mushroom tree, landing smoothly in a crouch before rushing towards the ship, a calm expression maintained on her face as she considered the possibilities this presented. What sort of wish could she make here? In moments, Captain Snow had reached the ship, near the android. "Areu, I need you to come down immediately, there's something we need to discuss. It concerns... " glancing to the side, she saw that the human, or whatever the hell he was, named Asheron was busy with his task, but she dared not reveal too much, lest his hearing be greater than she'd expect. Back in the family there were members who specialized in hearing what wasn't supposed to be heard, and she wasn't going to take any unnecessary chances, not with what was at stake in this matter. "It concerns the task we undertook on earth before our departure aboard Slyph." She said, lowering her voice as she waited for the android to descend so she could discuss the matter with him privately, safely beyond prying ears. With a set of dragon balls on this planet, it seemed that she would need to fight this force, that the struggle predicted in her dream would indeed become a reality. ~Stay strong Snow.~ She commanded herself, stiffening her posture against the state of mind that tried to encroach upon her. ~A week at most, and we'll be off this peaceful rock, and you'll be one wish richer.~ OOC: 500 words.

| Ander had awoken from his meditations to the noise of a ship coming in to land on his planet. This brought up a whole host of strange emotions. The first one was determination, all of his life he had been forced to train for the alien attack and never feel fear, but that attack had come and gone and he was just now fully recovered from it. Much stronger than before, but still not enough. He still had dreams of that giant monkey that came out of that seemingly normal saiyan. But there was nothing to say that these people would be the same. For all he knew they could be peaceful beings, just coming here as tourists... There was only one way to find out, and fear would only stand in his way. His mind got frustrated for a second at this new fear that had been placed inside him from the saiyan, but he calmed it down almost instantly. Now was definitely not the time to be anything less than fully confident. Ander strode out from behind his rocky cleft and started walking confidently towards the ship. It would be quiet a while between the time that the aliens saw him and the time he got there so he would definitely be wary of any moves they made ooc:220 words

| AREU noticed Snow motioning for him. What could she want this time? Whatever it was, it seemed urgent. With a nod of recognition, AREU gently floated down, but stopped suddenly once he came within a few feet of her. A light beeping echoing out from within his lab coat pocket. With a slight hint of surprise in his eyes, the android reached into the pocket to produce his dragon radar. ~Dragon balls on this planet as well… This must be what she wanted to tell me.~ He thought, his eyes glancing over idly to the new recruit. Snow didn’t want him to learn about the dragon balls, and that made sense. Another human involved would mean one less wish for her. Though why should she be the only one to get a wish? If there is another set of balls, its only natural another person should claim the reward. Most notably, AREU himself. But what would he wish for? Creativity in such things was not his strong suit. Perhaps a more powerful form? But what use would he have for that? He was as strong as he needed to be, and had yet to find anyone who challenged him in that aspect. Excess of power would just be wasteful. Though perhaps he could wish for his own ship. A means to travel wherever he needed to go. But then there would be the issue of his ship AI being another one like Slyph. Although he was rather fond of the program, he still found her slightly annoying and overly emotional. It appeared she still had an emotional attachment to him, but was at least controlling herself. Regardless, he didn’t want to take that chance. Then his mind drifted to money… He had no need of it. But the idea of a laboratory of his own, and funding for his own research to use as he saw fit. Think of all the good he could do… A life in quiet silence. Carrying out his primary function in total serenity. It was heaven. From his high vantage point, the android’s eyes snapped into focus, staring intently at the figure of a green man with antennae walking towards them in the distance. He seemed confident in his stride, and had a rather serious expression on his fa- WAIT. WHAT IS THIS!? A green man!? With ANTENNAE!? What strange and unholy place has the small band of vagabonds crashed upon?! What bizarre twist of fate brought them to the planet of broccoli men? Would they be steamed in hot water and then eaten!? What sort of cruel god would make a planet where the roles of man and broccoli has been turned upside down! Totally reversed! Oh, the inhumanity of the situation! How would the group ever survive… The Planet of the Broccoli Men! “… Captain Snow. There appears to be sentient broccoli behind you.” The android stated quite calmly, despite the explosion of probably insulting thoughts rushing through his mental processors. He was internally raging with questions, but through better judgment kept them to himself, not wanting to alienate the… Alien. In case it turned out to be friendly. words: 526

| Sighing as he buffed out the last of the scratches Ash floated to the ground and picked up the paint, wondering exactly how well paint in a can would work on a ship with metallic plating that require special paints specifically designed for such things… oh well not his problem, he was just following orders. Taking out a roller he poured the paint into a pan and rolled the roller through the paint several times and then ran the excess off on the drip piece. Then he began spreading the paint in thin, quick strokes, intent on coming back over for a second coat. He finished all he could before he had to set his roller down as he started laughing ever so slightly at the odd thought of if the ship was a woman and he was painting her, then he was applying makeup, and if he applies too much, she becomes a painted woman… also known as a whore. Paying absolutely no attention to the goings on he quickly grabbed his paint roller, re-dipped it, rolled off the excess and went right back to his job until the ship was coated in a glistening layer of fresh paint that still partially showed the original underneath. He hated the job, and it was boring, but it was paying off his flight which he had never meant to take in the first place. OOC: 233 words

| Snow watched on as AREU grabbed his own radar, learning, as she had, that this planet also had dragon balls. ~Well, either that or this place has something giving off the same signal. It would be just my luck that we'd end up on a wild goose chase on this damn peaceful planet.~ She thought, shuddering once more at the thought of enduring this place's calming atmosphere one minute longer than she had to. "A sentient broccoli..." what the hell was it Areu had been staring at for the past moment. At hearing the warning, she turned, following the android's line of sight to the approaching creature, slowly taking in it's green form. "Slyph..." she spoke hesitantly, waiting for the ship to reply. "Yes mistress?" She called to her captain from a speaker outside the ship. "That creature approaching us in the distance... is that a Namek... one of the people you said built you here?" After a pause while the ship cleansed it's scannors from the fresh coat of paint, the AI gave an affirmative yes. "That is correct Mistress." "Very interesting..." the changeling woman's tail had reached up to stroke her chin in thought. "Slyph, what can you tell me of them as a species, including as combatants?" At the request, the ship rattled off a list of the racial capabilities, a talent for ki manipulation, arms that can extend to great distances, an ability to regenerate any damage so long as the head was intact, and the ability to swell to massive size, gaining strength and durability at the expense of evasive action. "Thank you Slyph, are they agressive?" "Not at all mistress, the vast majority of Namekians are peaceful creatures. Infact, those with dark ambitions are found out and banished from the planet as soon as his true nature is discovered." "That will be all Slyph, thank you." With the information in hand, Snow glanced upwards, seeing the android still floating there. "Areu, if you would be so kind, I'd appreciate it if you would greet our guest. I fear my race has a reputation for violence, I would rather not give the wrong impression." Snow knew full well the reputation that preceeded the changeling race, they were known for their conquest and subsequent tyrrany of worlds, and the destruction of those they could not conquer. No, it would not do for her greet the namek. OOC: 400 words

| The android listened to Slyph’s explanation of the namekian race. As it seems, they were far more than broccoli. And that was good. The entire concept seemed silly and out of place. Broccoli was never meant to be sentient. But some of these abilities… Extending limbs. Physical mass inflation.. What were they, rubber men? And natural regeneration. They could grow entire limbs back from pure will. If this broccoli man, or namekian, were to attack it would be of a considerable annoyance. But perhaps a slightly more interesting fact on a personal level was that the ship was apparently built here. Which meant she was NOT conjured by magic and instead transported. Therefore, magic was not the cause of her creation. And teleportation technology wasn’t entirely impossible. At the very least, more probable than a device that can replicate an entire ship from absolutely nothing. It seemed Snow wished for the green skinned android to greet this green skinned slug man. It made sense. AREU was green. This man was green. Negotiations would likely go much better that way. Especially as oppose to a white space cow interacting with a erect broccoli stem. As incredibly amusing as that thought is. With a silent nod, AREU turned his full attention to the namekian. Floating over to confront him. AREU moved slowly through the air, seeming to stand still as he gently guided himself over and stopped just a few feet from the strange, green namekian. “Greetings, I am Artificial Research and Exploration Unit Nine Nine Nine Six. Chief Engineer of the Starship Slyph. We have accidentally come upon your planet through a slight miscalculation, and wish to be of no further inconvenience to your planet or your people. What do you wish of us?” The android said in his usual monotone voice. His light green, cross haired pupils staring directly at the namekian unblinkingly. It was rather clear he was not a namekian, as he had the form of a more human type being. Though his hair was a dark green and skin a grayish-green, almost similar to anything else on this planet. Reaching up idly, AREU fixed his glasses so they sat correctly on his face, and allowed him to view the namekian more clearly. Though he didn’t need to wear glasses, AREU had always felt it made him appear like an intellectual. Besides, it sort of pulled his entire outfit together. The scientist doctor look. words: 406

| Ander flexed his black muscles as he saw one of the beings standing atop the ship take flight and come towards him. He wondered what they were going to look like, if they would even have limbs... That would be cool, if they were sentient but formless. A smile crossed the namekian’s face and a small point of surprise registered inside him as he realised it had been way too long since he had smiled. His whole life had been devoted to training to protect his village and he had done so, but still it had been destroyed. It was now time for him to make a new start with new people, or aliens as it were. The alien was about half way between the ship and the namekain and Ander’s mind began wondering what he was going to say on greeting. He definitely did not want to come across as hostile because, while he loved a fight, he did not want to have to kill another person. Finally the being had come up to him and the fears of the proper greeting were completely taken away from him as this random green skinned being started the conversation. It seemed they were actually here by accident and meant no harm to Ander or his people. He took in the appearance of the Artificial Research and Exploration Unit Nine Nine Nine Six and made a mental note to give this thing a nick name. There was no way he would say that all at once every time he wanted to address this new friend. Ander walked forward and extended his hand in greeting, “I am Ander, a warrior namekian from a small village over to the east of here. It is nice to meet you.” The namekian took a little bit of time to think about his next few words inside his head before saying them, he really wanted this to go in a peaceful direction, for there was very little left for him on this planet and these people had a ship. After enough time had passed so that the conversation almost got awkward Ander gave one small shrug and decided that honesty would be the best approach from here. “My village was recently destroyed by an evil force sent from an evil planet and I really have nothing else for me here. Would you mind if I joined you and your friends?” ooc: words = 403

| The android watched as the namekian extended his hand. He had seen this behavior on Earth. Humans used it as a sign of trust and friendship. But what if on this planet, the act was a sign of severe disrespect? Could the cultural differences be that severe? Ultimately, however, AREU nodded toward the namekian, reaching out and taking his hand and shaking it gently. “It is good to meet you as well, Ander.” AREU replied without hesitation. However, what AREU was not aware of was how long you were suppose to shake one’s hand. And indeed, he had seen many strange variants of this act back home. Was he to shake it and forget it, as they say? Or perhaps he was suppose to perform some obscenely complicated hand ritual? Or the worst possible scenario… The hand shake hug. Where he had seen males with shaved heads shake hands, do some strange ritual with their hands, and then pull one another into a deep hug and slap the other on the back. Namekians were indeed bald, but was it the same for them as the Earthlings? Maybe it was a universal bald person thing to do, and AREU was not notified because of his lush synthetic hair. As the countless possibilities rushed through the android’s mind, he had forgotten all about the namekian’s hand. Still shaking it idly, long after the point it would have became awkward and weird. Eventually the namekian asked him a question. He wanted to join their space crew. An interesting proposition, having such a interesting species on board. Another organic, sure. But this one was green. Somehow AREU didn’t feel as out of place with him around. “I would have to speak with my captain on the matter, but I will see what she has to say.” The android said, still not releasing the poor namekian’s hand from his cold, metallic grip of awkward. words: 319

| At this point, Ash’s job was probably the worst because not only did he have to wait for the paint to dry but being the only one left in the area that wasn’t paying attention to the new creature, all he could really do was either watch the paint dry, or head off in search of someone who might know exactly what he is, though he doubted he would ever find something like himself. Or he could go search for something that would pay off his debt... judging by the secrecy of Snow’s conversation with AREU, it probably had to do with how they got the ship, and maybe the giant dragon. Hmmmm if something like that were on this planet…. Surely someone would know about them. OOC: 127 words

| Snow watched on as the android floated his way too the Namekian, and began a conversation. "Slyph, can you hear them?" She inquired, folding her arms beneath her breasts as she observed the green couple. "Yes Mistress, my scanners detect them perfectly." A slight grin could be seen crossing Snow's face, she was getting to like this captain stuff, and all the advantages her ship offered her. "Please repeat it all to me, leave nothing out. Simulate their voices to the best of your ability." "If it will please you Mistress, then I will do so." Spoke the ship, before she began transferring the conversation, with Snow listening intently to the discussion. ~Robo boy sure has taken a liking to his title I gave him...~ she mused, idly stroking her chin with her tail, though she grew rather irritated with his next statement. ~Offering to do what he wishes with us, what kind of authority does that damn machine think he has? Note to self, have a garbage chute installed so I can shove him off the plank after we leave.~ Before she could ponder further means of dealing with the arrogant android, the Slyph continued in a new voice, no doubt that of the Namekian, replaying Ander's introduction. ~So he's a local warrior eh. Good, we could use a guide, and besides, we have a spare bed on board, I may have use for some extra muscle. Of course... we'll have to make sure this fellow gains our trust, perhaps... perhaps we can tend to this evil force he lost his village to. Mmm yes, that will surely earn his allegiance.~ She plotted, laughing slightly at being called the overgrown toaster's friend, only for her laughter to grow as the pair grew silent, AREU staring at the Namek's hand before finally gripping it and returning the greeting, going so far as to call the namek by name, neglecting to release the hand for much longer than normal. ~At least he knew his place enough to state that he would need to ask, time for me to crash this party.~ She laughed "I'll be back shortly Slyph." And with those words, she too began to walk towards the discussion at hand, a friendly smile on her face as she took long, flight augmented but smooth and graceful strides, contemplating how she would sway the Namek to her cause. "That would be me, Captain Snow, it's good to see a friendly face on a new planet. I'd been concerned we may have had to defend against an attack." Casually resting her hands on her hips, she smiled, leaning back as she waited for the namek to respond. ~That's right Ander, welcome to the crew, I'm sure we'll have plenty of use for your strength as a Warrior. That is... assuming your not afraid to get your hands a little dirty, handling some business.~ With a glance back to check on the ship and the stowaway, she relaxed, waiting for his response. | Ander relaxed immensely as he noted the demeanour and tone of the voice emanating from the being. Although he did seem to not want to let go of his hand for some strange reason. He mentioned that he was not the leader of this little crew, but the namekian figured that if they were all this friendly he would have no trouble with them all. One thing he did notice, just as the handshake turned into properly awkward, was that the hand he was shaking was actually cold. There was no sign of any actual life inside the being. First thing to address was the matter of the still ongoing hand shake. “Umm, Artificial Re... screw it, I’m going to call you Cold One from now on... You can let go of my hand right about now, if that’s ok with you that is?” Ander came across the second and third questions inside his head. First he was immensely curious as to what the being standing before him actually was, and second he really wanted to go meet this captain, maybe he is also a cold one. “Seeing as you need your captain’s permission before we can be friends, I propose we race there. Last one there is a rotten egg!” With that, Ander withdrew his hand and ran towards the ship as fast as he can, all of his fears forgotten in lieu of the fact that he had friends again. He also knew that his running speed would not be as fast as the cold one’s flying speed so he planned to reach out and grab his leg as he flew past. And when almost at the destination, he would let go and use the force as a catapult to beat him onto the ship. After making the plan in his head, and sprinting three steps he heard a female voice come from in front of him. He looked up and saw that he was running head first into another alien, this one was even stranger than the cold one. Ander had only enough time to register that she was speaking, in a very pretty voice by the way, and that she had said something about him being welcome and that her name was captain Snow before he lost his footing and practically flipped sideways uncontrollably into the unwary captain. Pretty soon he found himself lying on the floor, tangled up with snow laughing and trying to apologise between laughs. ooc: 412 words

| Walking off to a ‘tree’ and leaning against it, Ash closed his eyes and reached out with his mind to every open mind he could touch on the planet, searching for any minor mention of the word dragon or even the word wish as he lay there. Scanning every last little thought he could get his hands on until finally he came across one mind and connected with it, a full blown personal connection. “My name is Asheron, and I am a visitor to this planet in search of a way to help my friends protect the many people of their own planet from a serious threat, and because that threat is so powerful, we need aid in order to find anything that could possibly help us. Please help, we don’t have very long that we can stay before we must leave again.” The mind responded back, this time directly to him, first in panic and then after a calm explanation of how he contacted him, they told him everything they were willing to give to him about large round objects by the names of dragon balls that created a large dragon that was able to grant not one, not two, but three wishes of the user and even with the three wishes, the tales of such items that one would get from them were magnificent. If Ash were to be able to get his hands on even one of them, it might be enough to get Snow off his back about all the money he owed her. Standing up as stealthily as he could he quickly told the Slyph that he would be back as soon as he could and then he ran off into the trees, only to come to a cliff edge. Jumping off over the edge of the cliff he took off at top speed, across the water, and barely keeping track of what was happening around him as he moved as quickly as possible towards the destination that sounded most likely for the first dragon ball. There were comments by some minds that there was a dragon ball that could be found shortly outside their village, but at the same time he could never be sure of what he would find. Landing in the areas that were described mentally to him he found no such ball, hidden underneath something, out in the open, anything. It was almost as if someone had taken it earlier or it had never been there. But what he had found instead was more information. From this point he could touch more minds and gather more information on what these dragon balls could really do, and how much power each one carried. It was thousands of times his own power easily. Flying back, hoping not to have been noticed disappearing he quickly got back to where he had been but now slowly approaching the changing from behind, his body suspended in the air, his legs in a relaxed state causing his toes to point down, and his arms crossed over his chest. His mind reached out to his two allies “So, who wants to tell me why they hid the dragon balls’ existance from me? You know I can help you get them, and I could care less what they can give me, because I know a few more details than I would care to know in the first place.” OOC: 569 words
