Walking through the frozen wastelands of Icer Akuma made a steady pace towards the location of the most powerful beings in the sector. He was tired, and nearly at his wits end with the cold, and right now he was at the point where he was willing to swallow his pride and actually ask for help in order to get stronger. Funny how willing one would be to give up their pride and honor in order to gain more power, especially when it meant separating themselves from their duplicate.

After a few moments more of walking he stumbled but kept going before finally giving up on the entire effort of walking and instead he decided to fly to the base, it would be much easier to reach there, and once he reached there he would be able to get in, and then he may just be able to train. Who really knew though, not him…. Wait a second…. He was over thinking all of this. Taking off into the air he dashed off at max speed towards the base of La Ressurreccion, intent on attempting to join, if only to get the training out of it. And maybe a bit of cash.

Laughing as he flew, Akuma made his way through the white snow with his pitch black body and red armor, and then suddenly he came completely out of his flight and hit the ground feet first, sliding all the way to the entrance of the rumored hideout. Reaching up he pounded on the door and waited for a response.

OOC: 261 words as Akuma, learned bukujutsu

At the sound of a knock at the door, Ryder glanced up from the board, studying his silent adversary across the table. It was Ryder's move, and all the tension was on him as the clock ticked down to the conclusion of his turn. Returning his eyes to the board, the Commander would at last make a move. "Time out Captain, it seems that we have a visitor."

Slowly pushing up from the table, the Saiyan commander rose from where he'd been seated, engaged in a challenging battle of wits and tactics, a chess match with Captain Chill, the leader of the unit of changeling troops they had assembled to further their goals. "I'll accompany you Commander." Replied the changeling, also rising from the board, before placing a large cardboard box over the game, to show that there was a match in progress and to leave it undisturbed.

In moments, they'd reached the door, the Changeling Captain standing at his Commander's right hand, and slightly behind, as Ryder gave the nod to the two guards standing at the door to unbar and open it, in order to allow the individual outside in the cold to speak with them, and, if he proved friendly, find shelter from the cold. "Welcome friend." Spoke the Saiyan as the door began to creak open.

OOC: 220 words, opened the door to welcome Akuma.

Quickly stepping in and closing the door quickly “sorry about the intrusion but I came to join and its fuckin colder than a witch’s tit out there.” He said with a solid batch of icicles hanging from his armor. Sighing he breathed into his hands causing a flame to form as he heated his body again. He almost laughed to himself at using the word sorry. It was so strange to him that other creatures would apologize and actually mean it. He dismissed the thought and held out his hand for another ridiculous gesture “The name is Akuma, but most just call me Fiend…” he was swallowing his pride by doing this but if he did the work he would be able to train within the walls of this building and actually be able to fight something. He hated it when his body split like that but he would have to learn to deal with it.

OOC: 156 words, stepped in and closed door behind

"Fiend you say?" inquired Ryder, taking note of this creature... most likely demon's appearance as the fellow burst into the base, warming himself from the frigid cold out there. "Perhaps you would explain exactly what you mean by fiend, Akuma?" asked the Saiyan, finding himself ever more curious about the nature of this demon.

Hachi had told him that all demons had an inner darkness, one that none would ever suppress, but Ryder refused to believe that. Everyone had good in them, with which to fight the darkness. So what if demons had less light and more shadow, they also had the potential to be good, he knew it in his heart. "I am Commander Ryder."

“Well, I am called Fiend because…. Well I am the dark part I guess. Could be the light but that would be a bit off considering I am the one who urges him to kill…” he trailed off in thought again, and then a thought occurred to him. If he existed, that meant Myou also existed, and if Myou existed then there was a chance they could merge again and that wasn’t right, because then he would have to listen to that insufferable whelp.

Suddenly he smiled and looked to the man, he had the goodie goodie glow about him. “Well I guess I should introduce myself as the wannabe recruit, once I am more powerful, I can act as a surprise unit in combat… though as I gain more power there is a chance I may go berserk…” he said as he finished warming up.

OOC: 147 words explained and sorta introduced further

~Mental Notes: Subject, Akuma. Race: Suspected Demon. Strengths- bold, physically imposing, seems to have control of flame. Considers himself a berzerker. Problems: Mentally unstable.~ Those notes locked away, Ryder ushered the man towardsa seat at an empty table, sitting down himself. "We're happy to welcome any into our ranks who are willing and prepared to follow our laws, I hope you understand that you will be bound by these, and that breaking them will result in appropriate punishment."

Those words finished, the Saiyan reached down into a bin, grasping a laminated sheet of paper and sliding it over to the space infront of the seat he'd instructed Akuma to take. "On that you will see all of our core laws, rules of living that separate us from the other groups with desires for Icer. While they desecrate the land and it's people's, we respect all, and honor those who depend on us." Should Akuma read the list he would see the simple basics, be peaceful, treat people as equals, etc etc.

“I see no problem following these, if you fulfill my three requests. I don’t mean to sound like I am taking charge, but there are only three, and they should be simple enough. I need to remain isolated when alone in a very bright room, the brightest that you can give me, and I need my meals delivered to my room which will be locked from the outside until I am released to train or meditate.” Responded Akuma as he looked at the man and then the paper. “I am a berserker fighter, you direct me at the enemy and I will rip them out of the sky as quickly and efficiently as possible.”

Ryder listened on, intrigued, as Akuma rattled off a small, simple list of requirements, ones that actually made his decision much easier. ~If he's locked up most of the time then we should have far fewer concerns dealing with his violent tendencies among the people.~ "It's not a problem Akuma, we wouldn't be who we are if we weren't prepared to listen to the needs of those in our charge, both civilian and military. Your requests shall be granted."

Pausing a moment, he turned, scanning the room for a soldier, to find that the only ones were himself, Captain Chill, and two of the guards on the door. "Hey guys, I need one of you to go grab Hachi, make this official. Make sure he brings a contract with him a swell." Once the guard left, Ryder flashed a casual smile Akuma's way. "Only a few minutes, and everything will be in order."

The guard did not come back, but Hachi himself did. The daemon leader stood equal height to Akuma, though he could easily pass for human, he looked more closely to a saiyan with his build and looks. With a piece of parchment clutched in his hand “Alright, I was told your requests and things have been set in motion to get a room ready, the contract outlines that when you sign it you know and will follow the rules, will accept the proper punishment for them, and it will also give you free rights to the meditation room, the sauna, the gravity room, if you are not able to afford any weights, we will provide them” Hachi sat the paper down with a pen. “we would also like your build statistics and race, no such information will be used against you”

Smiling Akuma raised his finger and pricked it with one of his nails and then signed his name in blood, making the thing official amongst the demon race. He then jotted down his height, his capabilities in flame and then the fact that he was a Demon. Looking at the paper he noticed a place for a name and wrote the three that he was most known by: Akuma, Fiend, and Equinox and then quickly swiped out equinox but not enough to make it unreadable. After finishing he slid it over to Hachi and frowned as he noticed the name Equinox was still readable.

Hachi watched with a small smile, when things were jotted down he folded the paper and motioned for the new recruit to follow him. The door nearest them opened and opened into a well-lit training grounds, on the far wall had heavy doors marked with ‘sauna’ near the east corner was a set of stairs going up, and a set going down, the stairs up would sit in an observation deck for the massive gravity room, and down was the war room with hallways in the perimeter which held a number of lodgings.

“This place used to be a medical facility, downstairs holds a number of rooms, on my side is the sanitarium, so the style of room you requested will be up by days end, outfitted with built in lights, the solitary confinement room… the healer is downstairs too, as long as you’re not dead, you’ll be perfectly fine… save for lost limbs” Hachi explained as he stepped in front of the gravity chamber “ in here things are meant to endure, where fighting all out is not only encouraged but required”

When the doors opened, it would show just how large the gravity room was, it was bigger than most people’s homes, more than enough room for mid and long range combat, ceilings many stories tall, and everything around made of industrial metal save for the floor, which was made of solid ice that was scored deeply for traction. The celling was made up of many panes of glass with heavy beams of metal and track lighting, either of them letting a lot of light for battles. Sitting in the corner beside the gravity machine was a set of weights that Ryder often used.

Akuma couldn’t help but whistle as he looked around the room “Quite the place you got here… I am not much of a fighter quite yet, but against those around my level I am pretty strong in comparison.” He said as he looked around the room and then walked across to the weights, picking them up and investigating them. He tossed them up and caught them and then put them on, fully expecting a fight to come and he wanted to get a bit of strength to come out of this battle. He then looked to Hachi “So, I am guessing you expect me to train against you, facing skills that would generally kill me even if I was able to move at normal speed…. Sounds fun.” He said with a laugh and tested his movement with the weights.

Knowing full well what was going on as Hachi took the newcomer down into the gravity chamber, Ryder went downstairs to the rooms and retrieved Raphael, the Namekian healer, both taking a position on the observation deck. ~You know, after the last accident I'm starting to think I'm the one who should be training the new guys.~ He thought to himself, remembering what had happened with Chaos. The Saiyan had been too broken up by the situation to even wait for an explanation, instead running off to his room and slamming the door closed. He hadn't even come out of there to eat for three days.

Eventually, Hachi had explained the situation, but that didn't make it any easier on the young man. He understood why the demon had needed to die, but that didn't make it any easier. A commander had to remove the weeds, but it wasn't easy, as Ryder's nature lent himself to growing attached to his men. "Make sure you don't kill this one alright Hachi!" He yelled out teasingly, curious how the likely demon would respond to the call.

Standing before the Demon and hearing the response a thought occurred to him, he was facing a power much stronger than he was… but that didn’t mean he didn’t have a few tricks up his sleeve. Suddenly a blade formed out from his right wrist and extended by two feet and then stopped and he snapped it off, holding it casually in his other hand. And then his other trick kicked in, his muscles started to swell and expand as he stood there causing him to grow nearly twice in size where he stood. Looking to the man by the name of Hachi he smirked “This much of a surprise?” he said, sort of curious if this was anything new for him to run into.

Hachi smiled at the display “you offer to the group more than the other possible recruit did” the daemon expressed with a hopeful tone as he walked to the gravity control and looked back to Akuma “alright, the gravity isn’t going to be very pleasant at first, and you have one of two choices” Hachi said and stepped away from the screen as heavy mechanical whirrs and generators started kicking in “either take the very beginning to test the gravity out yourself, or rush straight for me”

As soon as the words escaped the daemon’s lips, the gravity kicked on with all its weight coming down at once, causing Hachi’s legs to bow out for a second before he slid into his fighting stance. The demon physiology allowed both Akuma and Hachi to withstand heavier gravity than most other races, but the body needed moments to adapt since they did not constantly suffer under such heavy gravity, at least that’s how Hachi’s body reacted to the machine.
